Stage 2 Crowers camshaft users..."Question"
has anyone used the Crower camshaft stage 2 on a sohc v?? if so did u feel a lot of difference?? because I have a crower camshaft stage 2 and I dont feel ****...my timing is good and my distrub. is advanced...and I still cant feel the difference...It still feels like stock...
damn...I would dyno it but I blew my block already...racing on the freeway with an LS...so Im planning on getting a JDM single cam D15b...right now I have a mini-me...because my head is still good...I drove it around for a week and then it died out on me on the freeway while I was on 5th gear going 60...eversince that I cant start my car anymore...can anyone help with that?? I checked almost everything...my ecu, battery, starter, alternator, my head, distributor, my fuel, cleaned my manifold...and I still cant find a problem...

You cant just "run" that cam I believe. You need to at the very least adjust your fuel pressure so you arent running lean and frying your valves/pistons/rings/sleeves. Why'd you come to ask us how to get more power out of a cam thats installed on a toast motor?
You've got more lift and duration, but the same amount of fuel.

im just asking about the camshaft thats all...just to see what the problem was before...dont mean to offend anyone

ummm about that, the amount of air getting into the engine isnt that substantially more, your not going to run lean and fry everything, the stock ecu will be able to compensate the fuel delivery by itself. Your better off ditching the v-afc and going to a hondata system or running uberdata,if you plan on modding even more just so you have more power over the engine. And i have a Zex 59300 cam, when i put my wideband in, the output was just like stock so i dont know what your talking about

i am assuming a p28, not the p06, since he said "SOHC V" so i think it had vtec, and he was putting the head on a jdm d15 as well which is a vtec block.
I was running with a chiped skunk2 ecu program...had all my air done but headers and basically a built head with springs and retainners and jun camgear and ob course that crower camshaft...It was pretty strong but the camshaft wasnt doing anytthing...but ill give all the things u guyz tell me with my mini me...or probably a jdm D15b

Says you!!! He could have the skunk2 program added to it and run vtec off an msd rpm activator!! That is why i ask.. plus these programs advance timing very heavily and if he does not provide enough fuel he would have leaned out!!

i highly highly doubt he did that, and yes the programs advance timing but to not the effect of causing harm to engine, and aftermarket cam cant do that, its not adding enough air to accomplish that
yeah I was using a p28 adjustable skunk2 chip...it was a customized chip...not the real chip itself...this dude basically made his own chipped and made it into a skunk2 program...I was giving out to much fuel...cause I had the fpr with it also...it was to much fuel for my FR to handle
