I bought a carbonfiber hood recently only to find out that the holes for the bolts on the passenger side are messed up. The top hole is stripped out and the bottom hole has half of a bolt stuck deep inside it. I'm wondering if there is someway to attatch this hood maybe with welding the bracket to the hood or using bonda/fiberglass? any suggestions?

 

Anyone? Anything?

 

how deep is the bolt stuck in it? Have you tried anything to get that out?

 

It is pretty deep in there and i fear that if i drill that out or whatever i may try i'm going to mess up those threads as well...

 

how deep is deep you don't want to drill it out. You do wanna put a small hole in the screw/bolt and get an easy out to get it out. Do you have any idea how big this bolt is and how deep in there it is?

 

an easy out is like a reverse drill bit but without the point so you drill a small hole and put the easy out in the drill and when you spin the easy out in the hole it will grip the bolt and cause the bolt to come out. They work really well if you have never done it and its a Small bolt buy a few extra they do break.
