Default what could be wrong with my alarm?

hey everyone, 1st off the alarm i have: the alarm with remote pager (looks like a little cell phone) with power locks installed in a 91 hatch. well my problem started 2 nites ago, the 1st nite the alarm just started going off(around 1am) and the remote said "door" i went out to check(all doors were locked and closed) and about every 10 mins it would go off again. the alarm is self arming (about 30sec. after last door is shut) so yesterday i was looking around the car and i noticed when i shut the door the l.e.d. wouldnt flash (flashes when it starts to arm) but it would arm if i press the arm button, so i thought the car would be fine....i was wrong last nite i kept hearing an alarm goin off(sound far away, very faint sound) and my car was outside my door (so it couldnt be my alarm, besides my remote didnt signal me) well i was wrong at about 4am my girl wakes me up to tell me it was my car. so all you alarm experts what do you think the problem could be? please help me fix my alarm!! thanks for any help

Who installed it? How long has it been in the car? There are 3 main things that can go wrong or be wrong with an alarm 1- there is something wrong with the alarm brain itself, 2- there is a wiring problem, [most likely power or ground], 3- the alarms brain is latched up , [ reboot the alarm by disconnecting the neg. batt. term. and wait 1 or 2 min. and reconnect it ] giving or getting a jump start can cause the alarm to latch up, also poor wiring, like a bad ground or power connection can latch it up, also "dirty power" can cause it , [ the main power for the alarm should be hooked up to a good 12v constant source by itself] do not use the same power as the doorlocks or the parklights, [if wired] or anyplace tha may be used when you arm/disarm the alarm or the alarm is tripped, [ the ign. switch power is a good spot] and before anybody jumps in to remind me that it all comes from the batt., let me just say . Let me know the answers to the first Qs, and check the above 94
