93 Accord What is the largest wheel and tire combo that will fit on a 93 accord without rubbing?
I have a 93 accord that has been lowered 2.5 inches with Progress springs and KYB's and I want to know how large of a rim and tire package will fit on it? I have front and rear camber kit with 17's with a 205 45 17 on now and it doesn't rub. Will a 19" rim fit?
If you have a similar setup with rims larger than a 17 let me know how they fit.
Thanks!

215.35.19 will do its job with no rubbing i know u can fit up to 20's now with the new bf goodrich tire or the nitto i seen and accord with them at nopi

Honestly 19's will do more harm than they will any good....go with a nice 16" or 17" rim.
215/40/17 or even 205/45/16

Figured I would chime in on this one. A few people would say i know a thing or two about fitting stupid sized wheels on a 4th gen.
19's are going to fit just fine. However if you want to drive around daily you better not be lowered more the an inch or you will be landing on your fenders when you hit every bump.
As for the pic you posted there. As hideous as that car is the wheels do fit. However those 20's are not put on without clearing out the wheel wells. The front wheel wells have been completely removed and the rear has probably been narrowed. Not to mention w/air and that plastic piece of **** body kit and he still isnt laid out. pffft.

16's or 17's??? NO, NO, NO!!! i have 18's on my 4th gen and still have plenty of room for 19's which i plan to do later...as for the 16's or 17's, i had 17's for my first set of rims and they didnt look good at all on my accord b/c they are too small for the car...i say go with 19's b/c: not many people have them(you will stand out), bet looking size on 4th gens, and alot safer and easier than 20's(you wont have to cut out wheel well like you would for 20s)

yes yes yes VR is right. Why rape your car by putting anything bigger than 16s on it? I have 15" ex 5 spoke wheels painted bronze and they look fine one my big *** 96 sedan.
Whatever your choice, The more "bling" you put on the more rotational mass you have to deal with. Your acceleration would blow with big wheels. I once dreamed of body kits and dual exhausts and 50" rims but honestly Im glad I was too poor to purchase them because now that Ive grown out of the ricer stage I think I would have shot myself for blowing that much money to slow my car down and make it look rediculous. Just my thoughts.

so when did body kits become ricey and make a car look ridiculous? when did they start to weigh cars down? sounds to me like JAKE has never actually lifted up a body kit--THEY ARE FIBERGLASS--they dont weigh ****! man, u should really come up with another definition of a ricer--body kits on the right car look good as hell

Basically any body kit that replaces the oem parts atleast for the accord will be ricey. There's no way you can say its not. Some still may look better than others. Big rims another big no no. Why the hell would you bother with anything bigger than 17" tops when all you know is that its going to make your car heavier and slower. You want big rims go buy a school bus....

you bother puttin bigger than 17's because they look a whole hell of alot better than 17's or smaller...secondly, why is it always about speed, why even bother makin everything lightweight or stripped (when the car is already a boat) just to win some races against a fellow honda (i.e. other accords, cihondaracin24
vics, crxs, etc.), my point is that yea accords are an awesome daily car, but if speed is what ur looking for then go for something newer that comes stock with more power than even a swap for the accord...also--u r also wrong about being ricey, and do u even have a certain def. of "ricey"???, and there is way that i can say its not ricey, THEY LOOK ALOT BETTER THAN STOCK--but hell after all i wouldnt wanna weigh the car down more than its heavy *** already is now would i hondaracin 24????????

Performance is a big issue here because this is HONDA-TECH.COM. If you didnt notice, we're a website devoted to the technical aspects of cars (ie engine performance, suspension, brake components).
Youre not going to do well on this site if you want body kits and huge rims, because we're thinking more of a better ride quality than good looks, and clean lines rather than tacked on hunks of fiberglass and ABS. We recommend lip kits on stock bumpers, not replacing the stock bumper with a hunk of fiberglass that turns the front of the car into a megamouth shark.
He asked a good question regarding wheel fitment. We may not agree that anything above 17" looks good, but we answered he PERFORMANCE oriented question. The picture above is the most godawful example of Rice I could think of at this moment. If that's your cup of tea, go for it. But we'll be passing you on the freeway and laughing when a truck kicks up debris and shatters the fiberglass kit to kingdom come.
Larger wheels do many things. They're heavier, forcing the engine to make more power to push your vehicle. Therefore, youre overworking the engine all the time, plus youre getting HORRIBLE gas mileage. Second, youre throwing your speedometer off because it was meant to measure stock wheel size to calculate your speed. You'll be off all the time and youll have to learn to correct it. Third, you'll feel like your car is a goddamned train and youll be able to tell the date on every coin you run over because the ride quality is so harsh.
If accordracing.com is still up go there. It's full of bodykits and all that stuff.
If you want to get some more power out of your car, stay here.
However, with your title, I think I know where this may be heading...

I love my accord with it's beautiful STOCK body. And I thank goodness that others out there agree...
I recently aquired some 17" wheels for my car (brand new for dirt cheap may I add)... The wheels weigh almost the same as factory, yet I can feel the difference in acceleration compared to my factory wheels. And I can't imagine how horrible acceleration and gas milage would be if I sported some 19's or 20's. The tires I have (due to my limited $$) are 225/45/17's front, and 215/40/17's rear, aquired from some friends. Its a really weird setup and took some adjusting with suspension to make it look right, but the car handles like a dream with those tires. So far thats the one plus that my wheels have, and of course the bLiNg...
... but anyways, this is the Accord technical forum. Like everyone has said, most here are concerned with performance and quality. 99% of the accord owners here will give 19"+ wheels a

I'm the one who posted the first question about how large of a rim that will fit on my 4th Gen accord. I appriciate all of your comments but, I just asked how large of a rim will fit. Not what it will do to my car or how someone else's body kit looks. For all of you who answered about wheels I give you props! For all of you who answered with other ****, I have this to say.
I have two other 93 accords that are all stock. I could give a **** if I cut up my third one to make a project. I have a two sets of 15" stock wheels 16" Evo's and 17" wheels and I just wanted to know how large of a wheel will fit on my car without rubbing and that is it.
You can pick up a 4th gen Accord for almost nothing. Less than $2000 so why would all of you guys trip so freakin hard on what is going to happen to my accord if I put larger rims on it?
I hardly ever drive the one I'm putting rims on.

You should have stated all of that in your first post. Its up to you what you do with your car, figure out a way to slap on some 22" "spinning" wheels if you want. (I'd give you mad props for that)... but with the right stuff, any wheel size is possible.
As far as the prices go, nobody here cares about that, we respect accords for what they are, not what they can be made into (snake, shark, jet fighter etc)

frankly, larger wheels dont look good on accords unless theyre bagged..otherwise its like 4x4ing in a yugo w/ a lift kit...just play gay....and they have no place on an accord unless, like in bagged's case, its a show car, -meant to show off the owner/mechanics ability to manipulate the car into something it wasnt before, not to see who has the body shop that can best mold black widow kits to their car.......that car posted makes me wanna die in fire, but, those wheels would be blinging on a lexus

I have a white 96 accord sedan with bronze 95 ex wheels. I am ordering a mugen knockoff lip and leaving it black, I am ordering HR sports and kyb agxs, I will not tint the windows, I will not put euros on it, I will not decal it. I am going to finish up the install of the suspension and the lip and wash and wax it. In the end. It is not as flashy as a hp adding body kit but I think to a more mature experienced honda enthusiast It is as close to perfect as you can get with an accord. AllshowAccord, I am going for a more sophisticated powerful look taht is very clean, you have obviously gone to sema or the nopi nationals too many times to have good taste.
Bottom line, I think most accords have great body lines, you just need to know how to work with them to perfect the look, not replace them with STUNNA body kits and dual exhausts.
