Default radiator fan stays on, in a 91 accord

the radiator fan will stay on, even when the car is turned off, so usually the battery cable will have to be disconnected. What is causing the fan to stay on.

How long does it stay on?

Does it stay on after driving it or even when the car hasn't been drivin in a while and is "cold" does it run?

I would check your fan relay's and fuses .

I think in '91 there's a fan timer module, in addition to the fan relays. That's what lets the fan run after the engine's turned off, but it's not SUPPOSED to keep running forever...

I don't much about mechanics..

I do know about electronics.
Sounds like a bad relay.

If you don't know about mechanics, as well electronics, why even say it's a bad relay??????

It depends how long the fan will remain running? It is quite normal for the fan to run a good five minutes after shut down in some cases. But if you are saying that it can run for 30 minutes or more, then ther eis a problem within the fan circuit.

Mine used to stay on too, but I had two different things happen. One. It would go on after a drive across town and stay on for a few minutes. I love the sound of it when it does! Then, I got an aftermarket water temp gauge, hooked it up, and the fan would stay on for well over 30 minutes! After a little while, my battery did die! iw ould have to just turn it on, turn it off, and the fan would kick in. NOW IT DOESN'T DO IT AFTER I SHUT IT DOWN. I don't have the aftermarket temp gauge anymore. Does anyone know for sure if I buy a fan timer (replace the factory one with factory) if it will work properly (actually work this time)?

it is normal if it stays on after it has been run for awhile but if it just pops on when the engine is cold there is a problem....i would say the relay....

The temp sensor that is in the line that goes to the top radiator hose is the most likely problem. Try unplugging it and see if the fan shuts off.

its either temp sensor or relay it shouldnt run for more than maybe a couple of minutes no matter what definitely check out the system and get a new relay you might try getting one from the wrecking yard get the temp sensor from parts store new.
