Hey guys. I drive a 97 Civic. Last night I attempted a 99-00 Civic front end conversion. EVERYTHING went smoothly, but there was one thing which didn't work out so well.

I bought a 99-00 TypeR front grill. It fits very awkwardly. Like I have to push the grill in to make it reach where the plastic bolts go in. Has anyone had this problem?

Where did you buy the grille from? Is it OEM?

 

well it wont just fall into place hence the clips

 

screw the grill into the bumper first, then put your bumper on and push it so the holes line up. Mine was hard to fit at first but after a couple times of taking off the bumper, it fits fine now. U can also trim the styrofoam inside the bumper a little to make it easier.

 

if its aftermarket it wont fit right. I got one and now I just want a si grill
