Update: New info on my negligent driving ticket...
Good news!
I'm actually going to be able to take the driver's ed class to drop the ticket!!!
I just found out yesterday and I'm signing up for the class today.
I was given incorrect info from the cop that pulled me over. There are two diff types of classes you can take (4 hr and 8hr) based on severity of the ticket. Well, the cop originally told me that I couldn't take the class because I had already taken it (4 hr). He was wrong. I can still take the 8hr class since my ticket was a more serious one and would require the 8hr class.
Todd, who's learned his lesson and vows never to street race again (I've been challenged about 5 times in the past week). Two tickets in one month, nearly $250 and two classes later...I've learned to save it for the track.

Good to hear that!
I don't know about you guys but I believe that is one of the hardest things I encounter when driving my car. Not to be baited into an all out street grand prix every time a modded car drives up my rear bumper. What do they teach you in those courses anyway?

I haven't taken my 8 hr class yet...but at the 4 hr class it's just basic defensive driving. They tell you WHY you should wear your seatbelt (they had a 30 min video on WHY Princess Diana would've lived had she been wearing hers). The instructor we had was pretty cool. Funny thing is that about 48 of the 50-something people that were there...were there because of speeding tickets.
I guess we live in a speeding society. You know what's funny? Everytime I *try* to drive the speed limit or EVEN 5 mph over, I'm being passed constantly.
It specifically says in the Nebraska driver's manual that you should, "move to the flow of the traffic."
(FYI ~ this is in regards to my OTHER ticket I got doing 20 mph over in a 30 mph zone. I ended up taking the 4 hr class for that).
YD, who can't take ANYMORE classes to get out of tickets for 3 yrs now.

That's good news! Hey YD were you at the ITR Expo or was it your bro WD that I met there!

I'm trying my best to attend the Expo '02, so we'll see what happens. Are you going?
