Default Vtec solenoid

I just swapped in an h22 into my 94 accord and it all runs great but when vtec kicks in it doesn't hit hard. You can feel it but it seems weak, and it is pretty quiet. When ever I have heard vtec on h22 it was really loud. Some one said it was because I have a big four door, but I don't know. I was going to check the filter but can anyone think of something else it could be?

What does that have to do with anything?

i know you have an accord but,
fyi, most 4 door cars are lighter then coupes because coupes require reinforced sides that weigh more then the doors.....also hows your timing??
