The D16Y7 comes from a 96-00 civic CX or DX. Possibly a HX to but not to sure. And Im pretty sure theres no ABS, but I could be wrong. Others can chip in to correct me.

Just look under the hood for a TON of brake lines going to/from a resivor(sp). If you have that, you have ABS. Or look for a second fuse box under the hood near the main fuse box.

d16y7 is from 96-00 I THOUGHT a hx or maybe cx had a d16y5 .....hx came with an e-vtec.

BUT ....when he put in the y7 did he change out the tranny or not?

If he used the old tranny....you should use a stock 92 cx axel. if he used a y7 then get a 96-00 DX (non vtec) pass. axel. I don't know much about the otherside fitting into the rotor section.

hope i help....someone correct me if im wrong, please.

d16y7 is from a 96-00 cx or dx. hx is a d16y5. you can use ANY d-series 92-00 axle. maybe pre-92 axles but i dont know why u would wanna get such old ones

Correct. The D16Y7 comes from a 96-00 CX, LX or DX. You need any 92-00 Non-ABS axles. I don't believe any Y7 equipped car ever came with ABS. I don't believe you can use the pre 92 axles.

you don't have abs, no y7 package was ever included with abs. If you want to prove me wrong, we can look it up by your vin number, motor shot, anything..

I'd also like to see some proof. Not that I don't believe you, as I'm sure there are differences from Canada to the States, but I really would like some proof.

I do have ABS on My 2000 Honda Civic SE, with a D16Y7 engine. I don't have a digital camera, but take my word for it.. The hell would I lie for?

What kind of an idiotic statement is that? Maybe you should take into consideration that not only the USA gets Honda's. Try that before you make statements that you believe you're so sure about.
