blew up my axle...

Default blew up my axle...

driving down the highway today, i droped into second and boom.... clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, really lound noise. i pulled over, which was dumb cause i couldnt do anything, i gimped it to my shop, pulled the wheel off to find that the outer cv joint had blown up and separated from the inner drivers side where is a good place to get replacement axles other than honda?

umm. 2nd gear on the highway?? how could this sort of thing happen because of that.. lucky youre trans didnt go clunk,clunk

He could have been going 5mph through a parking lot, when those things are ready to go, speed/power really doesn't matter. And I've never heard of a transmission going when a axles breaks.

getting on teh ramp / freeway entrance or traffic

i get mine at autozone with lifetime warranties as well

same thing happen to me, only at a stolight and i have a 4th gen accord...as far as replacments check driveshaftshop.com or aluminumflywheels.com...may be a bit pricey for the budget tuner..

but have you ever heard of a trans going out when you shift into 2nd gear going down a highway??/ cause i have

Yep, just switched out both sides on Brandy's last week.

Lifetime warranty is a must.
