Ive done some research on J's and i came up with this...

j's racing header... they state it makes the best power for the s2000 and they tell their viewers that its been dyno tested, but i can not find a dyno chart?? also they seem to be just like toda and spoon..here is a little info that was on there web site..

"J's Racing is a leading Japanese Honda tuner and race team, specializing in cars such as the Honda Civic, Integra, and S2000. J's participates both in time attack challenges and professional endurance racing such as SuperTaikyu. This experience is used to develop new parts which are then race tested and offered to enthusiasts..."

they also state this...
"The actual exhaust system which has been used in the J's Racing S2000 in Super Taikyu race. 70mm piping is used for maximum exhaust flow. J's Racing has dyno tested this entire header back system with J's Racing N1 ECU and a magnificiant gain of 23.4hp was shown. Recommended for race use only. "

One really nice feature of the Js is the extra o2 bung on the header so you can tap in directly to get your a/f readings.

as you've said it's got 23.4hp with the j's racing n1 ecu... so therefor it will only give that much power if you use that ecu.... if you just bolt it on in your car it won't produce that number.. and even some tuning you might not reach that number or you might even reach higher then that number...

I would like to see that proven against a Hi-Tech header.

The 5 zigen header really sets no benchmark for design ect. It's just another addition to a product line so gains less than DC sports header which has some thought into would be more likely + I doubt the 5 zigen will be legal in cali

what are you considering a "Hi-Tech" header?

the two you mentioned 5zigen and dc sports are crap..... 5zigen i doubt will do anything.. and as for the dc sports it add nothing.. you just lose weight..

For the OG's they were Hi-Tech all of there original designs were stamped like this and even if they were'nt don't be such an *** that you can't figure out what I am talking about.

And "FYI" what you doubt or call crap in this case is like a cup with a hole in the bottom = useless. DC sports spent alot of time on a dyno, changing the design. I know because I visited there production facilities in Corona a couple of times during testing. While the gains are quite low bolt on so is just about any other S2000 header until you bring engine management software to the table. DC sports does'nt factor this in because 99% of all customers don't do this. and for there cost it far suppases most other brands $ to PWR ratio

Also there has been other headers produced than pac mans as even as far back as IAS they had them displayed.

i wasnt' being an ***.. .but if you took it that way.. my bad.... and for the dc sports header.. you seem to sound like you work there or know someone that works there.... or.. maybe you just have the dc sports header...

either way.. personally i don't really care what people put into their cars or do to their cars as long as they like it and they want it..... i'm just giving my oppinions.. and i personally wouldn't buy the dc header for my S... if it was my civic or integra.. i would.. but not for my S...

4700 new ?

jeesus christ john is really whoring out the prices, even thought it may be the better design there is not possible way of explaining a ten fold price jump from DC and I would say unless you have an N1 car or the likes don't.

".... and for the dc sports header.. you seem to sound like you work there or know someone that works there.... or.. maybe you just have the dc sports header"

I love DC sports headers, alot of there other stuff is just catch up bling to other companies but it's all well made and it lasts. I've had a whole bunch and on any daily driver I would again. Of course I have modded the crap out of them because I am not in the 99% and do all kinds of tuning.

If it were my S I would pick the Amuse header. You can say anything you want but after I watched the best motoring videos and saw the amuse s2k rip anything and everything, i decided if i bought more parts for the S they would be amuse. As for now I dont cuz i dump all my money into karting. Modding a S means money so be ready to spend it and make sure you get what you want. Good luck
