Default MagnaFlow ( RASPY!)?

First of all I did a search and I read " my magnaflow IS'T raspy" and " my magnaflow is Raspy". WTF

I just bought a magnaflow Race muffler. ( spec: 5" can, 2 1/4 inlet. Part # 14852)
I have a STOCK 88SI crx with airmass Race headers and a k&N air filter.

I am going to do a custom bend set up.

I don't want it to turn out RASPY. [B]What shoud I do to the system to make sure I don't get the raspy sound [B]. Anyone running a canister muffler like mine that doen't get the raspy sound from magnaflow.

experiance with magnaflow would be nice

larger resonator. I cut mine out and it made it louder and of course the rasp

Every Magnaflow I have ever heard has been raspy. Regardless if the car had a cat, resonator etc.

My friend had a magnaflow muffler with custom 3" cat back and his sounded great. I loved it, was nice and deep with no rasp at all.

The reso will give the growl you are lopoking for (as much as a crx can put out anyway.) i have magnaflow in my car. Stock b16a manifold with flange and piping underneath...to the mangaflow setup...it sounds deep. People say during fly-bys it's a deep growl. But at idle up to 4k it sounds a little louder then a stock crx. In short the reso will help ALOT

Every single straight through muffler on a i-4 will sound raspy..
**** even my friend with a built 302 mustang has straight through magnapacs and its raspy..

The only way to take away the rasp is to add a long resonator..If its still raspy add antoher one..

Or you could just get a chambered muffler..No need for a straight through muffler on a NA car anyway..
