Damn man! Looks good! It looks like you should move that VTEC point sooner or something....way way to big of a spike! Its jumps like 25+ HP when VTEC kicks in at 5500. I bet you would make even more power by adjusting the VTEC point.

EDIT: Were these '01 ITR cams or older?

I had the vtec at 5700 and it spiked bad. Then I moved it to 5300 and it was really bad, so I moved it to 5400 and it stayed the same so 5500 is the best for now. I was running lean from 6000 to 6500 so I need a regulator and I will put back on my 2.5 exhaust and go back for a really good tune. Those are 01 ITR cams.

Hmm..so I guess thats as smooth as its gonna get. Must be nuts when VTEC kicks in! Liek a small shot of nitrous

You say spiked, but did lowering it remove that dip?

Well I'm going to work on that spike more next time because the guy running the dyno was a pain in the ***. I hope to reach 190 with these cams.

Its alright for it to spike, you just want no dips in power.

Lowering the vtec dipped the HP at 5300 were as at 5500 it doesnt dip as much. Torque wise the dyno guy didn't let me see the tq chart so I don't know what the tq did at that point. I know when I was messing around with the vtec on the street before the dyno, 5300 had a very noticable dip and then punch. With it the way it is now it's nowhere near as bad.

Now if someone would do a Skunk2 vs JUN3s test...I would be a happy man

Anyone want to guess how much power ITR cams make over stock SI cams?

Dyno guy sounds like a *****

skunk2 only offers the stage 1 cam right now right? Nice dyno! I always thought that the skunk2 didn't offer the low-mid range power that the R cams do but it looks pretty even to me! Hows the reliability of these things?

skunk has a stage 2 and stage 3 cam. The stage 3 is for all out racing.

I have my xover at 4400 and have consistent torque all the way thru the rpms. I would say it looks like a toda b plot.

Looks like people are finally seeing the light about these cams.

yah the plot looks great!
on my b16 with stock cams i had a dip just before vtec and i advanced the timing and it fixed it, now it pulls up to and threw vtec!
my friends were telling me to get crowe cams but after seeing this i think im goin with the SKUNK2's!

Thanks for the compliments. I'm going back to the dyno on Monday for some tuning. I had to add a fpr and exhaust and I also had to bump back the timing since I had it at +24 and didn't know it (Advanced the intake cam +4 and didn't compensate). I moved the Intake cam back to +2. The cars feels much stonger now with the additions and corrections.

"Hey MPH, what are your VAFC hi cam fuel correction settings?"

I "had" the vtec at 5500
+23 @6000 (Thats why I have a fpr now)
+2 @6500
-8 @8000
-7 @8600

I must remind you that this dynochart is not tuned. I was just messing around to see what worked and what didn't. Monday I will have it tuned and will post it.

I think your spike looks so crazy because somethings not right from 3000-5500. The torque is very low in that range so the spike will be more pronounced going into VTEC. That area should do better next time around when you getting the tuning/timing corrected. Did you have an A/F graph?

Yeh too rich down low. Maybe shoot for high 13's down low and a little richer up top to be safe.
