anyway, it looks like that oil pan on the ground didnt do a good job.

 

Oh that brings back memories, when i was a mechanic for this warehouse job we had a worker need a new tranny so we got our forklift to hold the motor while we seperate the 2. Good times.

bump cuz ive done over 15 swaps using a forklift...takes about 3-5 hours on average

looks like doing a motor swap at the race track, but we use a tow truck. hehehe.

 

i've done it that way but removed the engine from the bottom raise the car with cider blocks (And thats how u do it in the high desert in cali) low budget dog

It works better than using muscle and a pry bar (I have done this twice)

 

I know of some guys that is the only way they would do it is with a tractor. They even had a nice cherry picker also but still used the tractor?

I have a cherry picker and all...its just so much easier to unbolt everything and drop the motor from the bottom
