can someone help me with some information on doing a valve adjustment on a 1.6L mini-me motor. 95 civic vx head. i know chiltons would be best but i don't have one. the only valve adjustment link i have found through searching is for DOHC's.

You might want to change that, those are the numbers in inches.

Intake: 0.17-0.22 mm (0.007-0.009 in)
Exhaust: 0.22-0.27 mm (0.009-0.011 in)

is that for the 1.6L vtec head?

 

I had a link last night that said those numbers were correct for the d16a6, d16z6 and d16y8. In other words all 1.6 l d-series.
