what does a stock type-r run in the 1\4 mile and who is the fastest one?
i just wish i knew more about the type-r because i was think of buying one with an aem intake already installed. my best friend has one and it is very quick but it lacks speed from off the line. i want one that i can tweek....
If you are buying a Type R for quarter mile prowess you are buying it for all the wrong reasons. And if I was after a quarter mile car it would most definately be a Camaro Z-28.....13.7 stock....will work a Mustang or WRX, no questions asked. However, the Type R is the most rewarding car I have driven, makes me smile every time I turn the key.

14.441....err...well it's in my sig....
full interior...stock motor all the way down to the huge intake resonator and cat....etc.... basically how it rolled off the showroom...
just minus the spare tire/jack/tool set
oh and bent intake valves(no. 4) giving me about 85pts of compression vs my 180 or so across the other cyl.

if u go with the type-r you'll find it to be much more fun just driving around attacking corners with a vengence, if you really want to drag it just make sure u got the right tires, z10 radius arms help, and add a lil nos and only use it on the strip and i'm sure your engine won't b that worse for the wear, hope you buy a type-r imho i could of bought a wrx instead and my close friend in my hometown got one though, hands down we both agree that the wrx is dope especially offroad but for just all around driving experience the type-r is a lot more raw you can really feel the car whereas i found the wrx(especially the feel of the shifter) to be really removed from the car. On the other hand if you do get a type-r, especially a yellow one, realize that you're going to be a target for car theives and you'll have to spend the extra money on a good alarm with a pager(i swear by it), think about where it's going to be parked; street, garage, etc... But then again i don't think you'll find one person on this board who has had serious regrets about owning a type-r, it's truly a driver's car. anyways best of luck with your decision -rob

Haven't ran my car, but come on down, and I'll Stoplight Assassinate you! (You're gonna have to wait though, my car's still in the shop)
