the Rsx type s 2005 exhaust is it true about the exhaust has some high flow bypass valve or something? Once there is enough pressure within the exhaust, a door opens changing the muffler from chambered to straight through.
Because im puttin this exhaust on my ek

 

i think i remember hearing something about this, but it wasnt an exhaust for the type s. might have been the jdm type r though.

 

I know the 02-04 JDM DC5-R muffler has this.....

 

05 rsx type s exhuast...are "SUPPOSEDLY" the 02-04 DC5 integra type r exhuast. ....i dont know for sure....only way to find out is to cut one open.

 

i hope this is true.. cause i just bought a 05 catback stock exhausst for 70 bucks

 

I don't think it's the same as a type r but it's a more free flowing exhuast then the older rsxs because I just picked up some parts from someone who has a 05 Type S and it's not exactly like my Type R exhuast.

 

yea its little more freer flowing its mainly in the cat..where most of the flow is freed up.

 

Whats the diameter of the 05 catback. I want to possible put one on my base.

your gonna need 05 headers too cuz the diameter is prob about a 1/2 wider all the way around. because the gasket from stock headers was way to big for the 02-04 dc header. oh yea i got shorty headers for ur rsx if u want 200, and shipping will be 10 just as long as u dont live in hawaii or alaska....heh i also posted in the sandiego classified section.
