Background...after a turbo install, I didn't install my condensor fan until all my little issues were worked out. One day while using the air conditioner, the compressor blew a seal at one of the hose connections. My question is ...is my compressor ok? Can i have that seal replaced and the system recharged, w/ fan, and be ok? thanks.

 

Make sure the AC clutch is actually turning on and off and it is not just stuck on. I have had the a hose burst because of bending the hose around. You should be able to fix the hose and recharge it and give it a go. I have never heard of an A/C unit being clogged but I guess it could happen

 

Yeah try it out the worst thing that could happen is you blow up your compressor and you have to get another one. No need in replacing it if it doesn't need it

 

If there is too much pressure the A/C pump will purge ou the excess before it blows the pump up. BUt get a gauge and make sure you do not over pressurize the system.
