Problem with shocks!
I got a set of tockico blues for my 88 crx and I installed the front but when I went to install the rear they were different! The ones I had opened up like a quared off clawa but the ones I need are straight down with a ball at the tip. So now im stuck with my crx looking like a hot rod! Has anyone hear ran into this problem? I cant return them either because I bought them off a guy on the street.
You probably got the rear ones made for a 89-91 civic/crx..
Just sell those and buy the 88 shocks..
88-91 fronts are the same but 88 rear shocks and 89-91 rear shocks are different

Yup - What he said.
Lots of companies and people sell "1988-'91 Civic/CRX rear" shocks, but they're dead wrong. The '88 had a different rear suspension design (the CRX did, at least; not sure about the Civic). You need rears that are '88-specific, OR you need the lower control arms from an '89-'91 CRX so you can use the rears you've got.
