can u give me a ruff estimate on how much is it going to cost me to replace?...also should i do both sides...and what makes my steering wheel move on its own? do i need to balance my tires or something?
what about how much to get a mechanic to put them in cause i have no time to do it myself.....i dont want to be over charged for something thats so simple
I got mine done in a shop and i think it was about 1 hour each, so what ever labor charge is for 2 hours in your area, in canada it's about $170 think mine were both replaced for about $300-350 labour and parts. And don't forget that's canadian dollars. so it's about 290 US$
Go to autozone, pick up some new axels"thell charge you a core charge" change them take back your old ones and thell give you some money backit onbly takes about An hour or so to change um

. If your car turns by itself you might have some alignment issues as well.
You can change them yourself but you'll need an axle nut and some elbow (like a long breaker bar or an impact) if you don't have the proper tools don't waste your time. But the money you spend on labor you could put toward buying the tools and doing it yourself and in the future you'll have the tools. That's a better investment IMO.
