Default Alpine....i am now officially impressed...

i have always been a headstrong pioneer owner, but wow, after seeing how alpine has redesigned their '05 headunits, i am seriously considering saving, reserving, and switching to one of these beauties....they arent TOP OF THE LINE audiophile head units, but they'll get the job done in a 10 year old honda....

both of these will be released in mid january, the cool thing is they are satellite radio ready, either XM or SIRIUS ( to sirius), so you can choose and still have control through the HU....

again, the internals are pretty much the same, but it's the SLEEK new designs that i thought was alpine's weakness over others.....proved me wrong

9847

9851

That's the reason I love alpine. They're simple, yet still look nice. I absolutely HATE all the multicolored headunits w/ flashing lights and screensavers and all that riceboy ugly crap. I also still like the rotary **** over the push buttons for volume Amen to simple nice looking headunits.

These will be replacements for head units in the 04 lineup. My fav alpine i've seen, or owned so far, is my 9815 from 03. for 2 line display so I can see song title, and artist at the same time when i'm listening to my XM.

I agree I like decks that don't have all the friviless crap attached.

I've been loving Alpine head units, I have a 7995, but need to upgrade to something that'll support the iPod box. Do you know if either of those two will have the more powerful DC-DC converter for the RCA pre-outs?

the cda9847 pretty much replaces the cda9825 @ the 199.99 -price point.

the cda9851 sorta replaced the cda9830@ $280.
