...or whip out the tape measurer and measure from the top of the fender down to the ground.

 

Get to a level surface (preferably cement/concrete parking lot).

Use a tape measure.

Measure from bottom of fender to the ground or bottom of fender to the center of the wheel.

or

Do it the easy way and use your fingers.

I accually cut out a block of wood that fits between the perch on the shock and the bottom of the twisty things on the coilover sleeve.

 

check threads on the sleeve
