Default 5 speed

i have a 89 hatch back and its a 5 speed and i have a 95 coupe and its an auto and ive been trying to sell the hatch but no one wants it so i was wondering could i swap the 5 speed into my 95 i dont think i can but i was just wondering thanks

The swap sounds like it would be hard. I wouldn't do it:
1. the 89 has cable transmission. The 95 has hydraulic. The hydro to cable conversion kit doesn't seem worth it unless you have something worthy to put in it.

2. Find a newer d-series transmission and throw that in. If you do it yourself then you should be looking at around 5-600$ for all the parts.
