I recently swapped all 90-93 DA brakes onto my civic, but I've had a few problems ( that were my fault mostly ) and I still haven't gotten to "test" the brakes. Just wanted to hear from some people that have swapped to ALL DA brakes to see if they notice a huge difference, little difference, or no difference...

I'm doing the entire system now... Prop. valve, brake booster, New calipers, Master cylinder, SS brake lines, and DOT4 syn. fluid.

I guess I just need some reassurence that all this is going to be worth it... Started out only going to cost me $125 at the junkyard, but I've got $520 in it now !!

Junkyard calipers/knuckle/rotors $125 ( front and back )
$225 in calipers and fluid
$90 in SS cables
$40 for front pads
$40 for used brake booster and MC

Still not bad for a 4-corner brake upgrade..

 

I loved it! I used Da knuckles up front with 95 GSR calipers, rotors, pads. I also went with the DA brake booster and MC, and Goodridge steel braided lines.

i threw da front brakes on my crx with nothing else, i noticed a big improvement with just that.

 

which upper A-arm was used? ef or da?

I used the crx ones.

 

I used civic everything, except the knuckle/wheel bearing thing that the caliper bracket bolts directly to.

 

so i should get da brake lines?

No, you can use CRX si lines.

 

just did the DA abs swap...but didn't utilize the abs system, just got those for free, so far so good. after teh test, but need to do an alignment

 

i threw on a da brake system with an 91 accord brake booster and master cylinder on my 88 crx and it works really well!

 

yeah so far i am loving the setup brakes nicely

 

the da brake setup slowed my car down noticabley
