Making room for depth.. please help!
This is not honda related, but you can still help me out. MTX makes an enclosure that holds 2 10" subs. the depth is only 5". The JL subs that i want to run are 5.75" in depth. Can i just use some sorta spacer to get that 3/4"?? and if i can, can it just be made out of wood? thanks.
i guess i can tell you what its for. a 99 dodge dakota. MTX makes an enclosure that fits nicely under the rear seat. i like that inconspicuous look.
yeah. thats what i was gonna do. Its as easy as a 3/4" spacer. problem solved. how do you think jl 10" w3v2s will sound. ive never used a 10" sub before.
Some chain hardware stores sell these precut round pine or oak pieces. I used a pair of these years ago to accomplish what you're doing. Take the disc and with a reciprocating saw, make an inner cut so the "ring" will fit the dimentions of the subwoofer.
do you think it will sound allright? ive never used 10's so i dunno what its going to sound like. i MIGHT do some custom fiberglass to fit my goal.. 1 12" W6V2. that would pound in a truck.
