???avid linkage = hasport linkage???
Does anyone know if the avid and hasport linkages are the same?
Reason I am wondering: I have Totem mounts, and people use Hasport linkages w/ no problem...however, I have never heard of the avid linkage with totem mounts...but if avid=hasport, well they should work too then.

Totem? never heard of them?
Why dont you make your own linkage, its pretty easy, thats what I did, your dad could probly make you a real good one.

Totem isn't a very popular mount company, they seem to be pop w/ H22 swaps. They were one the car before I bought it.
I never thought about having him make one...are you talking about the cut/weld method?

From what I hear, that's all the hasport ones are as well: cut 'n weld.
I'd just do that yourself, or at least measure it yourself if you can't weld it. That's what I did. That way you know it'll be the right length for your mount kit.

The Hasport ones are not cut and weld, and they suggest on the b-series into EF that you not go that route becuase "of the way the linkage bolts to the transmission" I dunno??? Obviously they are going to try to get you to buy theirs.
Right now I have a cut/weld job on there...and its sloppy as hell. My bro has the hasport with some custom bushings, and its GREAT. I'm jealous.
EDIT Jamie--> How the hell did YOU lose a point?
I guess I have just seen more bad jobs than good when it comes to cut/weld.

Are you going to be driving down your rex (assuming this is the one with the linkage)?

Mine is tight
My 99 oem GSR with super low miles feels like slop compared to my CRX.
If you find the straightest spots on each rod and cut a section out of each and have one person in the car hold the shifter centered and you tack then disconnect and fully weld it will be perfect.
