I got a friend who wants to sell me his DA with a B16 for a fair price ($2000), but the only thing that stops me from getting it he shaved the moldings . Well kinda, he used bondo, or fiberglass, didnt weld em, and they look like *** . So I was wondering, is it possible to bring the side molding indentations, or pass it up?

 

Anything is possible. I'm sure the bondo can be removed somehow. Try taking it to a bodyshop and see what they say.

 

Definitely buy it, the motor alone is worth the asking price.

 

it can be removed since its only bondo and fiberglass.. a friend of mine shaved his moldings and it was done professionally welding and everything about a year later he took it back to the shop where he got it done in the first place and they removed it for him and straighten the body line back up to stock. Bonda and fiberglass shouldnt be hard at all , just some sanding.

 

yeah dude sand and chuck out the bondo, you should be able to get all that **** out of there, prime it paint and reinstall new moldings

 

yeah all you need to do i alot of sanding and alittle grinding. i'm unshaving mine right now and already unmolded my side skirts

 

access to a media blaster would be perfect
