honda lessons?
i found a good book at barnes and nobles called something like "honda engine performance" or something like that. it covered everything possible on honda motors and performing swaps in a sort of beginner comprehendable yet, technical way.
but yeah just go look in the cars section of bookstores.

I knew almost nothing about honda's about 6 months ago, and now I'm prepping for my swap. Find yourself a honda group around town and hang out if you see they're doing stuff with their cars or something, but I learned half of my present knowledge from this site. Just read whats on the front page, do a little searching, and you'll be in business.

great advice.. most enthusiasts are glad to share their knowledge as long as you ask nicely. We all gotta start somewhere.. read some books, mags, use the "search" feature and google. It will take some time, but it will be worth it.

1990crx, the book at the top of that list is pretty awesome if you're into b-series engines. I got like 4 books off that list for xmas and they kick *** and all, but they didn't really teach me anything I didin't already learn off the forum. for a complete n00b tho they're awesome, no searching!
Honda-Tech rocks. About 95% of any questions I have ever had about working on my car I found using the search function. This place is a serious fountain of knowledge. Also, get a nice tool set and just start tinkering with whatever parts of your car you want to modify. Search or ask questions on here and read about what you want to do before you do it. Actually working on your car is the best way to learn. Good luck.
Well it all sounds good except that last one about "tinkering around on my own car. I'd like to, but with a fixed budget if I f' up I'm out of a car. I live paycheck to paycheck. For now anyway. I'm hoping to get a second job so maybe I can start tinkiering on my ZC a little. Thanx to everybody.
Where in Texas are you? There's a pretty active group of CRX enthusiasts here - some in San Antonio, some in Austin, a bunch in Houston, more in Dallas...
I'm sure there's someone who wouldn't mind having you hang out, watch, help, and learn. You might even get some help and goodies for your car out of 'em if you do a good job!
