Default whoever said making collectors was easy, was......

absolutely positively correct!!!!!!!!!! it took me 10 minutes to think up a jig and took about 30 minutes to make. Minus the trip to the steel mill. pics of my homemade collector pieces. Ran out of argon making teh jig so no pics of it completed yet.

collector is 4.25" tall. I wthink i can make even smaller ones too. A little adjusting to the jig and BAM!

You should use 5inch long pipes for a lower collector angle... Looks good!

Now do it right .Put a 12 deg.bend on the bottom. And weld it up . Is that from one of the patterns I gave out?

who are you to say its right or wrong. no patterns here, its not like you need a pattern for this stuff. fitting 4 circles around a rectangle, its not rocket science... thanks for the input.

I'm unclear about what you mean here...can you post a pic or something to explain what you mean? Why 12 degrees?

he may know what he is doing, but don't you think its a bit arrogant and vague, when someone just says "now do it right", and then doesn't say why? What makes it right and whats wrong? Whats not right about it? The angle? If i am not sure of what kind of manifold i am making yet, how does he know the right angle for it? But its all good, have your way and i will do it mine, but again thanks for the input.
