Is there a place you can buy a stainless collector? Or is it just easier to custom fab one out of 4 pieces of straight sch 40 stainless?

I am working on a few manifold designs and want to try and tackle the ram horn design.

If someone has a layout or how to that they would not mind sharing, I would really appreciate it.

searched, the threads it pulls up are less than helpful, perhaos i am not searching for the correct things.

 

Prepare for emails from every member that can make collectors....trying to sell you theirs.

Before long, people will be selling them for $20 each, due to the competition.

Check the pre-bent tubing suppliers.

Everyone thinks this is all cutting edge stuff... people have been making headers for 60years... any of the V8/hotrod outlets sell collectors.

 

as awesome and helpfull as the internet is....its killing the sport. soon labor rates are going to be 10 bucks an hour...turbo kits are going to be 45 bucks...and built motors are going to be 50. every civic on the road is going to have 800 horsepower, and everybody who got everybody where they are today are going to be out of jobs. kinda sad. you hit the nail on the head with the 20 dollar collectors in time b/c of the competition. new obx collectors....$4.50 !!

 

competition is good, this country was founded on competition. It inspires us to learn and grow. To develope new things!

Maybe tomorrow i'll take an hour or two and build a jig for use with a verticle bandsaw.

For a 3.5" collector i got the degree of the cut on one side to be 83* and 82* on the other. Remember T3 flange is a rectangle.

The material cost will be that much...I don't see how anybody could make any kind of collector and sell it for that.
