transmission questions
I just purchased a restored 1992 civic shell no motor. It was a manual but I bought a auto tranny and motor combo. What problems might I expext when installing the motor and tranny into the car? This is a daily driver not a performance or a show car this is why im trying to make the auto tranny work. What modifacation will i need to make. Please help!
you do need a new automatic ECU to accomodate the lockup sensor I believe. I've never heard of anyone going backwards to an auto. The transmission mount may be different too, but I'm not sure on that. What engine are we dealing with here? Sounds like more work than I'd be up for. You're looking at like $200 in extra equipment to make it work.
p.s. wrong forum 92+ go in EG, so if no one here can help you try posting over there. I'll do my best though!

Thanks for the response and I did realize after I posted this I was in the wrong room, so I did re-post in the eg room. I appreciate your constructive response. The engine is a d15b which is a 92-95 civic 1.5 liter JDM motor with its original auto trans and ecu, wire harness and axels. It is a SOHC v-tec but since I have the ecu I am assuming this will work. I agree on the interior harness, I doubt they make two. I just planned on keeping the same pedal cluster. The clutch pedal is all the way to the floor so I just plan on putting the carpet over it. I was told I need a radiator from an auto which makes sense and obviously a new shifter with cable but I wanted to see if anyone had anyother thoughts on what challenges I may come up against. Again thanks for your feedback and any other you can offer.
