immobilizer removal

Default immobilizer removal

does anyone know how to remove the immobilizer in the 01 type r ecu? or have a link to a procedure? ive been looking around and had no luck finding this. i just put a 01 b18c5 into my friends 00 civic ex but cannot use the type r ecu because of this problem. any help would be appreciated, thanx

A guy with 9 or 10 posts, asking how to remove the immobilizer on an ITR.

Just paranoia, I don't think thieves go after immobilizers. Easier to tow or bring a spare ECU.
