half radiator questions
well i bought a KOYO Radiator today and i dunno if its suffient enough...
i know everyone saids to get a full metal one but the top and bottom of it is plastic, is that ok?
the thickness of it is 1" exactly
ill take some pics when i get to my house. but im just worried about it overheating or it cracking
i paid $110 is that a pretty good deal?

for $189 shipped, you could have gotten a full aluminum 2" dual core from Streetimports. A few people have them on this site and they say it gets the job done.
I wouldn't ever run a radiator w/ plastic tanks on a boosted app, thats just me though. I suggest selling it locally and picking up the Streetimports rad. The one you got is just an oem replacement and in no way an "upgrade"

Yeah I would agree about the plastic tops and bottom. Most people who run the half radiator run the dual core radiators which are at the least 2". I would def sell that one and get the street imports one, but thats just my 2 cents

damn thats what i was thinking, i had no intentions for it to be an upgrade, i had to get a half radiator since my car had a full sized one and was in the way of the set up. so since its 1" its the single one? ill get the pics up here in a hr

Single core is not gonna cut it with a half sized radiator app, ESPECIALLY for a boosted h22.. You went from full to half and inevitably cut your cooling efficiency in half as well.

is there anywhere like autozone/pep boys/orielys/napa that would sell dual core non plastic tops and bottoms?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes, they are special order item though and cost as much as a C&R or Fluidyne. I would highly suggest going with the Streetimports you wont find one that is like it for the price. It doesnt break the bank, and it does its job. (I am in NO way affiliated with them, just trying to help)
