type R brake fluid capacity?
I'd like to flush and fill my brake system with ATE Blue and was wondering how much fluid the type R brake syytem holds so I can order the right amount of fluid to do the job. I've looked in the Helms manual, but couldn't find anything. can anyone help me out or ay least tell me how many cans of fluid they used if you've refilled your entire brake system?
ATE blue comes in liter cans which is roughly a quart, right? I think the regular brake fluid cans are usually in pints???
thanks

1 liter is enough for 2 FULL flushes and then some
wow, that was a quick reply! thanks for the info. do you happen to know the fluid capacity of the brake system?
again, thanks for the almost instantaneous answer... you live here on the board?

I'm switching to rbf600 and goodridge lines this week. I have 3 bottles and I don't think there is anywhere in town to get more If I screw up. That being said, when I start bleeding the brakes, when will I know all the old fluid is gone? Is it a different color? I've also heard that bleeding an ABS car is slightly different, something about going 35 mph to reset...something words words blah. Can anyone help me. I've serched and the hodge podge I came up with doesn't leave me the warm and fuzzy feeling I need to do this yet. thank you.
if 3 bottles is 3 quarts, then you have plenty.
The newer abs our cars use is different and doesnt require bleeding.
