As topic notes, I have an LX and I finally sourced an EX/SE OEM lip. This past weekend I found the needed OEM 11 bolts & 11 clips from the pull-it-yourself yard.

I understand that the clips are attached to the front bumper cover and the bolts screw in upside down once the lip is in place. I can see how to install 6 of the 11 clips (on each side) but how do I get the clips attached to the 5 holes on the straight part in the front?

There is a plastic cover in the way and I cannot get behind the bumper to attach the clips. I saw there are a few bolts nearby, but I cannot tell if it is for this cover or something above attached to it. I must be missing something.

Are you trying to remove the bumper shell with out removing the entire unit from the car? You will need to remove the bolts that are behind the bumper blinkers and once the bumper cover and bumper are seperated from the car then you can seperate those two.

 

I'm just trying to add the front air spoiler/lip to a car that never had one. The lip & all hardware is OEM. I know how to attach it, I just wasn't sure how to access the holes on the bottom of the bumper cover in the front of the car to slide the clips into place. There are 5 holes in the front that need clips.

I have access to the 6 remaining ones (3 each side) & I have already attached the clips.

 

Is what I'm asking making sense? I'm sure others have replaced theirs or added one. I'll be looking at it again, this weekend.
