This is part of an e-mail I received. Anyone else heard about it and/or plan on attending?

...a Honda Prelude meet, on Saturday, February 2'nd at 1:00 p.m. It will be at VERTEX Motorsports in Mclean/Tysons Corner, VA. The address is listed below. This is a meeting just so we can all get to know all the other prelude owners in the Northern VA area, and also because I have some friends that work at VERTEX and they can give us all a group discount for performance parts for our hondas. EVERYONE is welcome to come, so please come join me and other prelude owners for a Prelude meet.

 

I got the e-mail too. He's one of the guys on the prelude club mailing list I had. I won't be going though

2 hour drive depending on the traffic. and traffic is very gay once you get farther north...

 

He, as well as I, are from preludeonline.com. We had a meet there the Sat. before Christmas and harldy anyone showed up. A totla of six cars. Ne is trying to get more people interested in going to a meet down there with a little more orginization this time. i drove 2 hours from Harrisburg to the last one. I can say though that I didn't waste my time, since most of the guys I met were pretty cool.

Someone else is talking about a meet possibly at Grandsports go-kart track. Went to one there before. That was definately a must go and I will efiantely rearrange my schedule to go there again.

 

Hey Cementups, that go-kart meet was one of mine (Allsports Grand Prix http://www.allsportsgp.com). I had the crystal blue metallic lude. I was the one that kept holding you back. Or maybe you thought it was NASCAR go-karting . Yours was the electron blue one right? That was a fun meet. Maybe next time I'll have a little more money to play with.
What's sad is that I have like 30 people on an e-mail list and only one guy from that showed up. That's why I'm not going to this Tysons thing.

I'll be there...It was orginally posted on hondaprelude.com but every one is welcome....i hope we don't stay at vertex though it's to small for the turn out that is expected ....

 

See, this is why all meet in this area suck ***...cause nobody wants to go! This is the only area that can't organize a decent meet because everyone is so scared that each new meet is going to be a crappy as the last one they went to, so nobody shows up. Can we please try to start the new year off on a good note, and have one decent meet? If everyone wants to do the go-kart thing after Vertex, that's cool...I'm down for whatever...but damn, can we at least try for once?

 

why not meet at a track day or autocross where there is an already set date and location so their will be no arguement, and you know the entertainment will be there

 

How far away is this meeting place if I were to go from Pittsburgh? I haven't been to any Prelude meets yet since I got mine only like 2 months ago...I'm dying for a meet because it was fun when I had my Si and driving with 6 other Si. Let me know...

 

From Pittsburgh? I'm guessing something like 3.5-4 hours. Too far, if you ask me.

hahaha... Vertex.... i know the guy who started it... and i remember way back when he started Vertex in the original shop over in Fairfax Circle... and although I like Steve, his stop is only full of high-school amateurs who I wouldn't ever trust my car too... and I know at least 10 people off the top of my head who would concur with my in the above statement... while there may be an eclectic group meeting, Vertex is organizing it and so I must say that I sit back and laugh...

 

but like I said, I like Steve Kim, but the followers of his shop are amatuers, and the Vertex mechanics only produce problems that other shops have to fix... ifyaknowwhatimean...

 

Would anybody like to be added to the prelude club list I have? I could organize a go-kart meet again (or something else if no one's interested in go-karting)

im down for go carting, but i may be going to the the ITR meet in philly, and dyno, not sure yet

 

Dan, is the ITR meet on Feb 2 also? Is anyone allowed to attend? If so, could you please either post the info or e-mail me at fugnbug@hotmail.com? Thanks!
