Hello Everyone,

I tried searching, but can't find anything that completely relates to this problem. I'm helping my friend with her 95 ls. She had problems with it bogging down and cutting off on her. And it hesitates to start. So I changed the distro cap and rotor, helped just a little, but it would still cut off. And after it you get it started, if you give it a little gas, it starts to bogg down. So then I changed the entire distributor, plugs, and fuel filter. And now it won't even start. And when she tries starting, it backfires sometimes, and this weird bellowing noise comes out of the intake manifold? Does anybody have any ideas?? I tried to pull a code, but it didn't have one. Check the spark plug....seem like is not gettin spark.

 

I did check the plugs, and they're sparking. Any other ideas? Thanks for your help!

 

I checked for fuel yesterday and it seemed good. After I installed the new fuel filter, we tried to crank it, and I loosened the bolt on the filter and gas was coming out. Could it possibly be the Main Relay??? Anybody???

 

Probably not the main relay. Fuel pump runs, so that part of the main relay seems OK. ECU has power, otherwise you woundn't get spark. That's the other part of the main relay.

Smell gas at the tailpipe after cranking? If not, pull plugs & check for fuel. Maybe the injectors aren't firing? If that's it, check for battery voltage at the black/yellow wire of each injector (key on).
