will these tires fit?

i've searched ht and couldnt find useful info on this but i want to get 220/40/17 will this cause any rubbing issues?

i would think so on the inside of the fender well, my 205/40/17 rub on the inside fender...btw my car is a 92 hatch

there is no such tire as a 220/40/r17 i work at town fair tire a 225/40r17 is a real tire is that what u mean?

if you have a civic i know most are the same the biggest you should go with ius the 205 with no problems if you go with 18's you can get a 215/35 without major problems but most lickely you will need to get your fenders rolled that what i did to make sure that my 18's would not rub
