i have a 90LS (DA) and was wonderin if i swap in a B20 engine in place of my B18A and was wondering if the ECU was gonna be an issue or any other problems like motor mounts? im gonna be using it for an all-motor daily driver which i can have some fun with opinions and comments would be helpful, Thanks!!

 

you might have to use the intake manifold from the 90 ls. the b20 one is too tall, and it doesnt have all the vaccum lines like the 90 does. im in the same boat as you, i wanted to pull my b20 out of my 97 civic and put it in my 91 ls, but decided not too b/c i didnt want to use the intake manifold from the 91. i have a skunk2 on my b20 w/o all the vaccum lines and stuff.....
also, on the back of the block, there is a plug with 2 wires on it, the ECT. it is not on the b20, its on the thermostat housing after 92 blocks so you would have to run those wires over to the thermostat housing. im doing the same now with my 91, putting a 93 ls longblock in my 91 and its a pain in the *** but it can be done with some time and effort...... good luck

when we compared the side engine mount of my B20 to one from my LS, the mount was different. the one on the timing belt side of the engine with the two studs on it.

Either that or we're retarded, but I think that mount is different between the two.

i dont think they are different. i have a 97 b20 in my 97 civic and the mount lined right up with my stock civic mount.

except i have a 90LS and chances are the engine im gettin is alot newer then 90
