anyone ever bought ebay headlights?
Im looking at one the those black housing headlights for 98-02 accords. I just wanted to ask if anyone has them or know of someone who has them. I want to know if they are sealed good. I looking for a pair of new headlights and i dont want them to be leaking and fogging up. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33710

if your worried about how well its sealed, you could always run a bead of some kind of sealer around the headlight. thats what i would recommed as im sure the quality control isnt that high on those ebay headlights.
All the ebay lights as far as i know are made in taiwarn, along with the more ricey items like angel eyes, altezza tailights etc. My friend who sells these at his shop, always reccomends to his buyers to do what mumstaxi mentioned, and i would advice you to as well, as possibly 80% of the cars i see running around with fancy lights have water in them..
but in saying that, my itr's headlight kinda leaks too.. :/ hehe

i've bought ebay headlights before and i've only had a little bit of fogging in one of them. i bought the same exact ones you're looking at but probably not from the same seller. im sure some kind of sealer can take care of that problem
eh, i wish mine fit better....and the one constantly has water in the...i'm gonna DIY my old ones for the jdm look cuz i'm cheap

soo true... my light output was way better with my stock headlights, i guess its cuz the black isnt all that reflective. oh and the ones i bought weren't aimed correctly and i had to aim them myself, i aimed them a lil bit higher than normal to compensate for the lost output so im probably blinding the drivers in front me now
just black out the stock ones, i just did mine last night. pre heat the oven to 200 degrees, put em in for 5 minutes. when you take em out run a knife in the corners and loosen them up. once you get a little gap on the lense pull em open and get to painting. i used a mild rubbing compound to clean the inner side of the plastic and the lights look brand new. save the money and feel better knowing you did it yourself.
yeah, i would black out my oem ones, but one was damaged in a hit and run incident. so im looking for replacements. after reading your inputs, i think it would be better off for me to buy some oem and black them myself.
