just wondering what u guys did for ur 00 GSR. im having a hard time finding some for this yr. Is comptech good buy? thanks

 

i don't have that year or header, but the comptech is a great header.

 

just remember on our cars, it is just a header, no plural because we only have one. I bought a Vibrant 4-2-1. It has a 2.5 collector and i little better ground clearence compared to most. This way i dont have to worry about scrapping it and throwing 400 dollars down the drain so easily. i havent installed it yet, but i hear good things about it...

Remember that a header for the 94-01 LS/GS/RS and the 97-01 ITR will fit your 00 gsr.

I used to run a comptech. Funny thing is when I put the header on I could not tell a difference, but when I took it off my car felt really weird.

i've got greddy 4-2-1 on my 01 GSR, along w/ 2.25" carsound and RSR Ex Mag w/ 2.3" ID, works fine for street,

heard the comptech step design make a difference, but not sure if it's worth $100+...

 

DC JDM 4-1 ---&gt; 2.5" carsound cat---&gt; 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust w/ magnaflow muffler.

 

The competech is a very good high quality header. I have read nothing but good things about it. I havent seen many dynos though. Hopefully I will have a dyno soon.

I had the cat back first with just my intake. When I installed the header and cat my butt dyno did feel a gain. lol

 

I have some RS-R headers that i got from a friend.....they're so JDM nasty. I wish i knew more about them, like what type of header it is (if RS-R made different models etc...) But I love them!!!!! They look so dirty too!! But i hear the Comptech's are really good, if you want to keep good overall mid-range power then get a 4-2-1 header. If your all top end and want maximum gains go for a 4-1 header.
