1st upgrade question
a good HEADER(singular, cuz we only have one) is a good choice. Something like a Vibrant or DC JDM 4-1. There are others which are alot better like Headertech($650), AN-R($500 or so i think, but say goodbye to A/C), Hytech, SMSP($1200 i think), and more. If your going to get a rear sway bar, i would suggest the Comptech Sway Bar/Tie Bar combo, more pricey, like $300 or so. But alot better in quality and fit. Your car is from 1995 and probably has alot of miles, so it could be assumed your stock bushings are worn out for the most part. A complete Polyurethane Bushing kit would help out in handling alot too. like $250 or so for everything, but a bitch to install, or alot of money to pay someone to do for you. I guess hte options are limitless, just decide what you want first, more power or better handling. A Good clutch and flywheel would also be very good. hope this helps you some way or another
I say, save up money until you have around $2000+. That's what I did (actually, more like $5000 for me
).
What are your goals for your car? Do you just want a clean, fun, somewhat quick car? If you want a single bolt-on that will make your car get up and go more than any header, intake, or exhaust would, I reccommend a supercharger. I had this on my CRX and it was very fun to drive (and to hear it whine). Granted, your car will not be an insane 12-second GSR, but it will be plenty enough to disappoint a lot of people. And of course you can then go back and do the header, etc, even the boost upgrade if you want.
You will be very content with a supercharger for daily driving.
Unless of course you are like me; where nothing is good enough ever (I decided I needed to go turbo instead LOL).
So basically, I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on a ton of little bolt ons if you will eventually go on to something that totally negates it.
If you want power, it just takes a little more time. And I would know! I went from having a supercharged SOHC engine in my CRX to a bone stock LS engine, which I have had for like 1/2 a year now; but at the same time, there is another LS engine being built, the real deal. I have bought everything possible for it, piece by bloody piece, AND IT IS TAKING FOREVER.
But I know that the end result will be so much better than if I were to have just slapped a junkyard turbo onto a tired old LS engine, because I will be able to cram that much more air down my engine's throat with a properly built engine.
Cliffnotes: save money, take time, and then spend on a serious upgrade.

Suspension and replacing old parts
Like stated before bushings, shocks, maybe a clutch. Its all what you want out of the car, be more specific

Sit down with a pen and paper. Decide how much you want to spend total. What route you want to take (Turbo, SC, N/A)? Then get on the internet and research all of it. In the mean time put all of your money in the bank.
First things I would do on a newly acquired used car is:
-Inspect EVERYTHING and replace what is worn/broken
-Change ALL fluids
-Spark plugs
-Distributor cap/rotor
-Wires
-Fuel filter
-Valve lash adjustment
Give it a full detail and start fresh.
