help with new valve cover

just got my new valve cover in the mail and the part that hold the breather filter on if broke off what should i do can i get it welded

How did it break off? did it crack the valve cover? you could pull the broken part out and thread the hole or find tubing and epoxy or press a new piece in

Where did u get it from? can u return it? was it the shippin fault?
