quick question? chipping a pt3 ecu to run h22a
My friend who knows dick about hondas or performance got a 1990 accord ex for $400 and put a h22a in and now it is running like ****. He said the shop that did the work gave him a automatic jdm p13 ecu and had it chipped to be manual.
Now today I looked at the computer and it said pt3 on it. I know the shop screwed him but can the pt3 ecu be chipped to run a h22a program like a p28 being able to run a B16, B18 etc.
TIA
btw the turn the vtec on he is using a button on the shifter. U can here the switchover but it hardly goes any where.

Well if he has the money then why not just do it right and get a p72 or p28. They are more tuner freindly. BTW VTEC is not just about switching over to the high cam lobes you must also increase the fuel and spark maps in order to fully take advantage of the VTEC power. This is done by the ecu so his little button is getting him no where.
