Damn, just installed 13" JL W7, now my rearview feels like it's gonna shatter.
All I got to say about that 13" W7 is that it KNOCKS! It sounds great, but my car can't handle it. Especially the rearview mirror. It rattles and looks like its about to shatter into a million pieces. Anyone else have this problem? How can you fix it?
Oh dear - yea this is a problem.
There are ways to reduce the vibration, but it'd be difficult. You'd have to isolation-mount the mirror somehow, and deaden the roof structure of the car. It'd take some work...and even then the mirror will still respond to the bigger bass notes.

all I would have to say is get used to it.
when I had my w7 13.5" everything shook.
I had it in a 91 hatch I couldn't turn it all the way up cause my windows would shatter. my quarter windows. I had to open it to turn it up more. also my friends w7 in a 96 which I sold to him are is now rattling hell much, the sub woofer now rattles the panels roof like ****..
