yeah dude, your engine needs to be warmed up before you start ******* it
the ecu goes into a safe mode untill the engine is at proper temp, to protect the engine from people like you that get into the car and dog it while its still cold

true it shouldnt, but he drives it that hard, so it easy to believe that hes already phucked his trans in the procee so that explains it poping out of gear

Noob.... indeed but not to driving cars.... my temp gauge had three bars and it had been a few minutes driving around town before i hit it..... i understand this is not the best thing to do, but was showing off the car to a friend, no excuse i know.......... FURTHER i have had the car only a few months and i have definitely not abused the tranny with the exception of few 0-100's but not abused, i bought the car used so it could of been the previous owner that messed up the tranny, that is what i was asking, it was strange to have the car pop out of gear because my friend drives and civic si and when his car is not warmed up vtec just doesnt engage it doesnt rattle and pop out of gear, that seemed wrong to me and is why I asked the question, thanks for all the advice
