4-1 DC sport header worth getting?
runnning stock ITR header on my car rite now and looking for something to bolt up to my stock cat. found a nice deal for a dc 4-1 header 2.25 collector size, worth getting or no?
dont have the funds rite now for a jdm 4-1 since u have to buy a new cat and it has to be modifieds to the b pipe.

yes, save up for the jdm 4-1, jdm length cat, and modified b-pipe. the 2-1/4" collector size i believe is close to stock (or is it 2"?) and i don't think it would be worth your while. i don't think the gains would be much.
in addition, if you're in california, you have the luxury of using the heat shield over the header to aid in smog related issues.
good luck!

the jdm header is like 250-300 new
new cat is 100
instal - 50
so like 400-450 as compared to 125 for ss dc 4-1 and 50 installed.
hmm...so its not worth getting at all? i will end up getting the jdm down the road when i get the money.

good things come to those who are patient. waiting several months would be well worth it. i'm not saying the dc header is bad, i'm just saying if you can sweat it out, the jdm 4-1 in conjuction with the other parts will be a lot better.

I second that. I am going through the same thing right now, except I already have the JDM 4-1 and want to upgrade to a smsp (most likely). If i decide to sell my JDM I will send ya a PM.

First, I want to clarify the that DC 4-1, like all "USDM" Integra headers, has a 2.0" collector, not 2.25". At most shops, the price of the standard DC 4-1 and the JDM DC 4-1 is the same, or extremely similar. Therefore, the only added expense would be the cost of a bolt-on 2.5" cat, which is roughly $150-$180. As others have said, I would personally suggest waiting until you have the funds to purchase the header and cat.

Don't bother with the smaller collecter header. It's not worth it. If you wanna save some cash just buy the JDM replica from Street Imports(in performance section) and get a 2.5inch cat. I got that same header in SS for $229 and my cat for $80CAD. You can even buy the black one for $149. The header is OK, not the greatest, but for the price it's a good buy.

this true the dc has a 2inch collector?

All "USDM-style" Integra headers have a 2.0" collector (including the stock manifold). There might be some custom-fabricated unit available that utilizes a 2.25" collector, but otherwise it's either 2.0" USDM-sized or 2.5" JDM-sized.
copmtech 4-2-1 stainless steel tig welded for sale... VERY reasonable pm me or email me at yehiknowrite@aol.com
I'd wait and get the JDM header, or better(Hytech, Comptech, SMS, etc.). Although I will vouch for the DC JDM 4-1. its good bang for the buck. I've got one.
