MY POOR CRX
One fateful day after New Years, an unfortunate and unlucky accident occurred...

I mandged to smash the only fire hydrant within like a ½ a mile on icy roads...:\ - but time to rebuild. Here are some more pict0rs. Thank god I the engine is fine, but the body is totaled. Also lucky I didn't smash that hydrant over...=o

Does anyone know if I need different axles if I swap into a 88-91HF? or still the same teg ones.
Also, come 2 weeks till spring, I'll be parting out a TON of parts so if you need something that isn't engine bay, transmission, and interior trim related to my old car, chances are I got it for you. I'll tell you when I get my swap car. Hit me up with some PM's if you want stuff and I'll respond.
IF YOU'RE IN TEH MINNESOTA REGION with a 90-91 si I would like to speak to you about purchasing your car. Does not need engine or tranny, but looking for good body!

Damn. You should know better than to be driving your CRX in the winter when you live in MN. I live in MN too and that's why my rex stays in the garage nicely covered
Are these parts compatible with a 91 civic sedan? If so, I basicly want your front passenger suspension, as I slid into a curb and broke some parts. Email is Mikeaagesen@hotmail.com
It's really funny how it happened. I wasn't even supposed to be driving this car in the winter cause I was going to buy my buddies car.....but he hasn't finished his project yet so I don't have it
. The sad thing was I was going about 35mph and probably 20 or so when I hit it. It all started when I hit the brakes to see if it was really icy (my car was pulling so I thought it was slushy or something). Well my right wheel got traction and my left didn't and I drifted right, I cranked my wheel over all the way but to no avail did it counter steer.....(too bad my e-brake didn't work). So then I started to panic and I hit the brakes and tried to punch it into reverse...(prolly wouldn't have helped on ice but it was my natural reaction) but my synchro wouldn't have of it. So then I let off the brake and just prayed it would counter steer, but again to no avail I went up the curb and into the fire hydrant
. I wasn't intoxicated...and I thought it wasn't bad either until I saw the A-pillar crammed back causing my roof to buckle. Insurance doesn't cover the car since I don't have full coverage. BUT, all the money was in the engine, like I said. It is actually going to work out nicely because I was going to pull the engine to rebuild my transmission, paint my engine bay, etc....and now I'll just do that when I swap. There were also some things on the car that couldn't have been easily fixed that will be with a different Rex (diver door was a little warped so kind of loud on highway, interior didn't look that good).
So all I'm with you project guys now cause this is gonna take awhile. Luckily I have auto class for 2 hours a day in which we work on anything and everything and when I get my other Rex all the stuff is getting swapped.
I plan to make a write up on swap (everything from installing the engine to axles), as well as my tranny rebuild. I should be installing a LS 5th gear, LSD, new syncros and bearings. Furthermore, I'm most likely tearing apart the engine and tweaking things as necessary. I got a long way to go and I'll be finished worrying when I get a new Rex to swap into.....the rest shouldn't be long
BUMP
oh yeah, I didn't get hurt. Praise God for that

As for parts: When I get the new Rex I'll have parts that I can had out...for now I don't know what all I'll need from this broken beast. All the Engine, Transmission, wheels, suspension, steering wheel, speakers, deck, and some other stuff I'm keeping, but the car I swap into should have plenty of parts for sale. I'll try to test them all before I sell them as well. Thanks for the comments
