Default fog light installation

95 accord sedan. i have a set of 95 oem knockoffs fog lights with everything (switch, harness, wires, instruction) can't seem to find anyone to install this for me. at first i went to my regular mechanic and he would'nt do it, then i went to aftermarket performance shop and he said he doesn't have experience with taking out headunits. now i am stuck with this and trying to find someone to install this for me. Will the dealership install this for me even though it's a knockoff that i got from ebay? how much would they charge given the necessary work? where else could i turn to. my mechanical experience is limited to oil change, washing/waxing car, filling washer fluid and filling fuel when empty. thanx

The dealership might do it...might try that or a local performance shop.

Be careful of shady shops though!

It really isn't very hard. You don't even have to take the bumper off to do it. It took me all of 45 minutes to install the lights and run the wiring. Also, there is no need to remove the headunits (headlights) to install the fog lights.

Uh, the fog lights are useful and functional. They can help greatly with night vision. There is no need to sell them and buy something for performance. How much peformance are you really going to get for $100 worth of fog lights. Not much. Not to mention it will add some value to the vehicle, while not much it is still something. The same can't be said for performance parts.

fog lights help..trust me... my inline relay blew out one time and it was a gone... i went crazy until i fixed them.. once you get fog lights you cant go back. the ones i get set up for me ,helps me to see the sides of my turns better at night, and there great driving trew forest at night and fog... for safety reasons.. people to see you better, and when driving at night, Turn your head lights off and drive with fog lights only and the parking lights(only in thick fog)

If you lived in houston area i would do it for you, for cheap

If you get fog lights for a 94 or 95 accord, yes.

To clarify, 94-97 are 5th gen.

The mounting points on the bumper is what's different. As a result the housings had to be changed for the 96-97 models.

look like 96-97..... THE BUMPER CHANGED IN 96...therefore, there no universal OEM style fog light for 5th gens, the have different mounting points

Those look like they will fit the 96-97 as the are slightly different than mine for my 94. That is unless they updated the design of course.

on 94-95, the four places they bolt up are staggered off from each other. they sit at 4 completely different heights.

on 96-97, the four bolts are lined up flat, meaning if you sent them on a flat surface, all 4 bolts touch at the same time.

and I know those two aren't interchangable with each other, I learned that the hard way

EDIT: typo, wrote "are" instead of "aren't".
