Stock R susp. vs Tein Flex. a question about swapping the 2.
ok so i have an R now. with stock susp. its awesome.
i also have an LS that i was prepping for the track, it has Tein susp (that would also fit the R).
just curious on what you guys would do, would you swap the Tein onto the R.
or just keep the R stock, and try to sell the Tein susp.

if you think the type R suspension is as you say "awesome", then dont mess with it.
what are you doing with the LS if you sell the tein?

well the LS has full cage, gutted. i was working on it for a track car til the motor went on it. right now its just sitting in my driveway. if i can get a decent deal with the Teins still on the LS then i might leave them on and try to get rid of the shell.
the R susp will be put to test mid feb. at VIR. so then ill see if its necessary for an upgrade

i'd pick up a b18b, throw it in the ls, and have a damn fine track car. it's an h4 beast, and can also run in scca.
yes, the r suspension is great, but the shocks are a bit soft for the track. if you're deadset on getting rid of the ls, i'd sell the teins, pick up some koni yellows, get them valved a little stiffer, and run the stock r springs. i've been in rj's car with that exact setup and it felt pretty damn good while still being very streetable.
